Loren Lancaster
Managing director
Loren Lancaster leads the Electronics & Semiconductor Group of Core Capital with over 25 years of executive and management operating experience. As managing director, he currently heads this specialty investment banking practice, focusing its resources almost exclusively on middle market electronics technology companies. Lancaster works personally with each ESG client and manages all ESG mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and growth financing activities.

Lancaster has developed a wide range of leading-edge electronic products and technologies, and has directed teams of world-class engineers and scientists in the development of award winning communication products at AT&T Bell Labs and Motorola. He has also joined with entrepreneurs to start and build several high-tech electronics and internet ventures. In this role, he led the development of industry-changing technologies, designed and executed pivotal market strategies and negotiated strategic financial transactions of various types.
Before transitioning into investment banking, Lancaster worked with the renowned T. J. Rogers at Cypress Semiconductor as director of technology development. Loren holds two degrees (with honors) in electrical engineering from the University of Texas-Austin, and 21 patents in the field of electronics. He has successfully completed 12 strategic transactions.
Current activities
Lancaster is currently a board member for NVX Corporation, Peak Materials, The El Pomar Institute for Innovation and Commercialization (EPIIC), BlueFolder (advisory) and Front Range Venture Connection. He remains active in seed and early-stage ventures as president and board member of the Peak Venture Group, and he is an active member of the Colorado Springs Technology Start-Up Board and the Southern Colorado Investors Group (a local angel network). He is a member of the IT&E Group of the International Network of M&A Partners.
